Genevieve received her Master Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and is greatly involved with CRE leaders, facilities, real estate and workplace professionals. Highly regarded as a connector, Genevieve has over 25 years of experience as an Interior Designer, Project Manager, Business Developer and CRM. Genevieve's passion is CRE Strategy and continues to be an integral role model supporting Govan Brown's philosophy to be our industry's innovators. CHRIS DOBBIN VICE PRESIDENT, SITE MANAGEMENT
Chris Dobbin is the Vice President of Site Management at Govan Brown. He is responsible for managing all site personnel and ensuring projects are completed on time. Chris began his career at Govan Brown in 1996; just 2 years after Govan Brown's inceptions. Read more
As the only labourer on staff, Chris gradually worked his way up the ranks from Junior Site Super to Senior Site Super, then as the leader of the Service & Special Projects group and now as a our Vice President of Site Management. He has successfully completed dozens of interiors and renovations projects for Govan Brown with an emphasis on multi-phased, on site renovation projects. He is an excellent communicator and team player - essential characteristics for leading large groups of professionals. Chris' mix of on site and project management experience allows him to be a truly multi-faceted industry professional and an asset to the Govan Brown team.
ANDREEA JIANU VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT DELIVERY
As the VP of Project Delivery, Andreea is responsible for providing oversight for a wide range of Govan Brown projects. In addition to personally managing the progress of her own projects, she guides younger project managers on how to achieve the best results for their clients. Read more

BENJAMIN MATHEW DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

He has been involved with construction projects of all sizes including some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, providing assistance on architectural specialties. He knows firsthand the importance of consistent communication, accountability, and realistic pre-construction schedules. Alongside project delivery, Benjamin strongly believes that honesty and transparency are essential to building successful long-term partnerships and exceeding client expectations.
SILVIU STOIAN VICE PRESIDENT, ESTIMATING
Silviu Stoian is our Vice President of Estimating and head of our Estimating group. With more than 15 years in the construction industry, 11 of those years at Govan Brown, he has a keen knowledge of conceptual estimating. Read more
Pairing his wealth of knowledge with his efficient time management, Silviu offers great support to both Project Management staff and Operations. Silviu has admirable team skills, he effectively reaches milestones, and rapidly adapts to moving targets. His strength lies in utilizing computer systems which couples well with his ability to multitask effectively.
SAM CHOW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Sam Chow joined Govan Brown as CFO in 2015. He oversees the finance/accounting and cost engineering functions and since joining the firm, has helped the organization manage risk and maintain control in a period of rapid growth and expansion. Read more
Sam collaborates with multiple teams across the company and is actively involved in various initiatives to improve business processes and aid the organization in better serving its clients. Sam has spent his entire career working in operational finance and prior to joining Govan Brown, has held various financial leadership positions for a number of companies (Malthus, AECOM, Earth Tech, IBM) in the construction, engineering and information technology industries. The one common theme through all his roles has been a focus on change management and helping the organization move in a new direction. Sam obtained his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (HBBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and achieved his Certified Management Accountant designation in 2006.
JAMES CHAPMAN SENIOR DIRECTOR, COST ENGINEERING
James is the Senior Director of Cost Engineering for the Govan Brown organization. Since joining Govan Brown in 2006, James has spearheaded the company development and growth of cost control systems. James manages a team of Cost Engineers providing cost control and oversite to each project. Read more

Phil Goodall is the Director of Operations spearheading our Ottawa office. He manages all projects and services for Eastern Ontario and has worked with clients in the greater Ottawa area for over 20 years. Read more

TREVOR HOWIE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, WEST

Trevor graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and is a LEED AP. After practicing architecture for 12 years and running his own business, he decided to approach the industry from the construction side of the business and joined Govan Brown in 2014. His experience managing design teams and overseeing highly detailed projects has provided our clients and design partners with extra-value and insight from pre-construction to hand over. His appreciation for design detail and technical quality is showcased by his involvement in many award winning projects and architectural design honours. Through his comprehensive experience in many facets of design and construction Trevor understands the importance of the project team, collaboration and what it takes to successfully deliver a project and exceed client expectations.

Having received his Civil Engineering Diploma in 1979, Raymond has been with Govan Brown since 2012 and has been instrumental in developing and maintaining client relationships that have successfully impacted our brand in the Western market. With over 38 years of commercial construction estimating and management experience, 16 of those years in new building construction and renovations including civil projects in the Southern Alberta Region, Raymond has moved up from Project Manager to Project Director, and now Director of Operations. He is based in our Calgary office.

Prior to joining Govan Brown, John spent the previous 7 years of his career in the commercial services industry. Working directly with facility staff, landlords and service technicians, John understands the importance of how communication and team work are used to deliver a quality product and exceed client expectations.

DEAN HILLARD DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Prior to joining Govan Brown, Dean was the Enterprise Account Director for WeWork, responsible for setting up the first office in Western Canada. The success of managing this location eventually led to opening and managing additional WeWork offices both in Seattle and in Portland. Dean moved to British Columbia in 2004 from the UK and worked in various development opportunities for STAT Search Analytics, Ecmarket and Bullhorn.
